Denis Vavro (born April 10, 1996 in Partizánske ) is a Slovak football player . The central defender is currently under contract with the Italian club Lazio Rome .

Career

society

Denis Vavro made his debut at MŠK Žilina on April 20, 2013 against FK AS Trenčín in the Slovak 1st division . In the 2016/17 season he managed to win the Slovak championship with his club.

In the summer of 2017, Vavro moved to the Danish first division club FC Copenhagen . A transfer fee of 1.4 million euros flowed between the clubs. The Slovakian also managed to win the championship in Denmark . In the 2018/19 season he and his club were able to prevail in the championship round by a large margin over the pursuers.

After two seasons in Copenhagen , Vavro moved to Serie A for Lazio in the summer of 2019 . The club from the Italian capital paid 10.5 million euros for his services, which made him the record departure of the Danish first division club. He signed a contract until June 30, 2024.

National team

Denis Vavro has played in the Slovak national youth teams since 2012. He made his debut for the Slovak national team on January 8, 2017 in the friendly against Uganda , in which he also scored his first goal.
