Partizánske is a city in Slovakia . The city is located in the Trenčín region , about 110 km east of the capital Bratislava , and has about 24,000 inhabitants.
history
The town was created in 1938 through the union of several villages ( Malé Bielice ( Klein-Bilitz ), Veľké Bielic e ( Groß-Bilitz ) and Šimonovany ) and was named Šimonovany until 1948 (from one of the incorporated towns), then from 1948 to 1949 Baťovany (named after the shoe manufacturer Baťa ) and finally since 1949 Partizánske in honor of the partisans who took part in the Slovak National Uprising in 1944 .
Districts
The municipality Partizánske consists of four places, the main town of the same name Partizánske, Veľké Bielice , Malé Bielice and Návojovce . The places were once independent and were combined into one municipality in 1976. The place Partizánske can in turn be divided into six quarters: Centrum, Luhy I, Luhy II, Štrkovec, Šimonovany et Šípok.
Partizánske
- Restaurants and shops can be found in the center of Partizánske. The Partizánske Town Hall is located on the Slovak National Uprising Square, and not far from it is the train station and a park with a church.
- Luhy I and II are large housing estates consisting of large concrete houses and are located west of the center. They are surrounded by the two rivers Nitra and Nitrica.
- Šimonovany, in the northeast, is the historical part of the city. Before the city was founded, there was once a small village here. There is a brick factory and the Šimonovany Castle.
- Štrkovec is located east of the center and is the place where the city was founded and where housing developments were built when the Czech entrepreneur Tomáš Baťa built his shoe factory.
- Šípok is the only part of the city south of the Nitra River. It is the youngest neighborhood to emerge in the 1980s.
Veľké Bielice
A small place west of the Nitrica River, on the outskirts of the city towards Topoľčany .
Malé Bielice

Návojovce
A small village a few kilometers outside the city towards Hradište .
