The Nitrica is a 51.4 kilometer long tributary of the Nitra in western Slovakia . It flows to the Danube over the Waag .

The Nitrica rises in the mountains of the Strážovské vrchy between the mountains Homôľka (907 m) and Vápeč (956 m). It flows through the Nitrianske Rudno reservoir and runs south to its mouth at Partizánske .
