The Krefeld-Linn Station is a regional train station, located on the route Osterath food for which the Rhenish Railway Company got the concession on 16 July. 1863 The line was opened on September 1, 1866. On October 15, 1874, Linn station was opened on this route, the first station building was also put into operation at this time. The station name was changed to Crefeld-Linn in 1905 and to Krefeld-Linn in 1925 . This designation is still valid today.

In 1907 a new reception building opened in Linn , which is still preserved today (the old one was demolished in 1912). It has not been used for around 20 years and is in the advanced stages of decay.

Freight transport

In addition to the platform tracks, there are also several through and sidings, because this is where the route, which is only used by freight traffic, branches off to the left of the Lower Rhine to the south . The access to the Krefeld maintenance facility also branches off here. In the north is the connection to the Krefeld port railway.
