The Krefeld-Hohenbudberg Chempark stop in Krefeld is a train stop in the north of Uerdingen near the Hohenbudberg district of Duisburg . It was originally called Hohenbudberg Bayerwerk and was named after the Bayer AG chemical plant in Hohenbudberg.
Location and structure
The stop is located in the north of Uerdingen on the eastern part of the Hohenbudberg Chempark. It has a central platform 140 meters long and 76 centimeters high and is not barrier-free .
history
In 1961 Bayer AG planned to enlarge the plant on the Krefeld-Uerdingen-Homberg branch . The Hohenbudberg Bayerwerk stop on the Duisburg - Krefeld line was set up in the same year for commuters to the Bayerwerk, replacing the Hohenbudberg stop on the branch line. In 2013, like the other railway stations named after Bayerwerke, it was renamed Chempark and added the city name Krefeld as a prefix to the name.
service
Rail passenger transport
The stop is served by the regional train lines RB33 Rhein-Niers-Bahn and RB35 Emscher-Niederrhein-Bahn . They both serve him every hour between Duisburg and Mönchengladbach , but complement each other every half hour. The RB33 runs via Mönchengladbach to Aachen and the RB35 via Duisburg to Gelsenkirchen .

Link with public transport
Before the Bayerwerk was enlarged to the south in 2004/2005, there was a bus stop Hohenbudberg Bayerwerk Bf directly at the train station on what was then Friedensstrasse. It was served by lines 054 and 927 of SWK Mobil , which ran on Friedensstraße to the connecting road Uerdingen - Rumeln-Kaldenhausen and then in a southerly direction to Uerdingen station and Krefeld-Innenstadt, the 054 beyond to Willich - Anrath . The 927 ran north to Duisburg-Rheinhausen . When the Bayerwerk expanded to the south in 2004/2005, Friedensstrasse had to be closed. Since then, line 927 has been running parallel to the railway line and line 054 has been cut west of Friedensstraße. The closest stop on the 927 is Chempark Tor 2 . In night traffic, line NE27 runs from Duisburg-Rheinhausen to Krefeld, but mostly ends at the Chempark Tor 2 stop .
