history
Today's municipality Nitrica came into being in 1960 when the places Dvorníky nad Nitricou (until 1931 "Dvorníky", Hungarian Bélaudvarnok ) and Račice ( Rákosvölgy ) merged, both former places are now parts of the municipality.
The place Račice was mentioned for the first time in 1113 as Radscis , while Dvorníky was first mentioned in 1249 as Vduornunk . Due to their geographical proximity, both places shared his fate: they belonged to the Skačany estate from the late Middle Ages , and from 1777 to the Neutra Chapter. Agriculture was the main occupation in both places, along with viticulture and saffron trade to a lesser extent .
