Pravenec (German small samples , Hungarian Kispróna ) is a municipality in Slovakia .
The place is located in the northern foothills of the Oberneutraer Kotlina ( Hornonitrianska kotlina ) at the western foot of the Žiar Mountains on the left side of the upwelling cone of the Nitra River . The municipality extends between 301 and 773 meters above sea level.
The place was first mentioned in writing as Prona in 1267 . The place Fricova Lehota (German Fritz-Lehota ), incorporated after 1808, belongs to him .
