Liešťany (until 1927 in Slovak "Lešťany" or "Liešťane"; Hungarian Lestyén ) is a municipality in central Slovakia near the city of Prievidza .
The place was first mentioned in writing as Lyssen in 1332 . The places Dobročná (Hungarian Dobrocsna ) and Lomnica (German Lomnitz , Hungarian Törés ), both incorporated in 1944 , belong to it .
