FC ViOn Zlaté Moravce is a Slovak football club from Zlaté Moravce . The club was founded on January 22, 1995.

history

Between the founding year 1995 and 2004, the club took part in various regional competitions before moving up to the first division in 2004, the second highest Slovak division. In the 2006/07 season, FC ViOn Zlaté Moravce won the Slovak Football Cup and was promoted to the Corgoň liga , the first Slovak league, to which he has belonged from 2007 to 2009 and again since 2010. The best placement in the club's history was 6th in the 2010/11 season. By winning the Cup in 2007, the team qualified for the UEFA Cup .

On July 19, 2007 Zlaté Moravce played his first international game against FK Almaty from Kazakhstan , which they won 3-1. With a 1-1 draw in the second leg, the club qualified for the second qualifying round, in which they were eliminated after two defeats against eventual winners Zenit Saint Petersburg .
