The FC Nitra is a Slovak football club from Nitra .
history
The first football club in Nitra was founded in 1909 (Nyitrai ÖTTSO). In the years 1959, 1970, 1979, 1986 Nitra rose to the 1st Czechoslovak League, in which the team was usually represented for four years. After five years in the second Slovak division, Nitra has been back in the first Slovak division since 2005. FC Nitra has participated in four European competitions so far, most recently in the 2010/11 season in the UEFA Europa League. The overall balance: 10 games, 4 wins, 1 draw, 5 defeats, 19:18 goals.
