Thomas Sabitzer (born October 12, 2000 ) is an Austrian soccer player .
Career
society
Sabitzer started his career at USC St. Georgen / Judenburg . In 2010 he moved to FC Judenburg and also played at LAZ Judenburg .
In summer 2012 he switched to the youth team at SK Sturm Graz , where he later played in the academy. For the 2016/17 season he joined the amateurs of Kapfenberger SV . He made his debut for KSV II in the national league in September 2016 when he came on as a substitute for Danijel Račić on matchday eight of that season against FC Zeltweg in the 74th minute .
In December 2016 Sabitzer was in the professional squad for the first time against FC Wacker Innsbruck . In August 2017, he finally made his debut in the second division when he was brought into play on the eighth day of the 2017/18 season against TSV Hartberg in the 67th minute for Benjamin Rosenberger .
For the 2019/20 season he switched to Bundesliga club LASK , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2023. First, however, he was used for the second-class farm team FC Juniors OÖ . He made his debut for LASK in the Bundesliga in August 2019 when he came on as a substitute for Samuel Tetteh in the 77th minute against FK Austria Wien .
National team
In November 2019, Sabitzer made his debut against Kosovo for the Austrian U-21 selection .
Personal
Sabitzer visited the BG / BRG Judenburg . His cousin is the national player Marcel Sabitzer ; Thomas Sabitzer's uncle, Herfried Sabitzer , also played for the Austrian national soccer team .
