Joseph Goodall (born June 22, 1992 in Bendigo , Victoria , Australia ) is an Australian professional boxer in the super heavyweight division .

Amateur career

The 1.94 m tall left boom started boxing in 2009 and won a bronze medal in the heavyweight division at the Arafura Games in Darwin in 2011 . Already fighting in the super heavyweight division, he played three international matches against Germany in 2013 , defeating Gottlieb Weiss and Max Pilz and drawing a draw against Max Keller.

In 2014 he won the Australian Championship and won two international matches against the Scottish Ross Henderson. He also took part in the 2014 Commonwealth Games and won the silver medal after losing to Joseph Joyce in the final . In 2015 he defended his national championship and also won the Oceanic Championships in Canberra . He was then allowed to take part in the 2015 World Championships in Doha , where he was eliminated in the first duel.

In 2016 he failed in the Asia-Oceanic Olympic qualification in Qian'an to Patrick Mailata and in the global Olympic qualification in Baku to Maxim Babanin . In 2017 he won the Oceanic Championships in Gold Coast again by winning the final against Patrick Mailata and the Feliks Stamm Tournament in Warsaw , beating Djamili-Dini Aboudou in the semifinals . Thanks to his success in Gold Coast, he qualified for the 2017 World Championships in Hamburg , where he won a bronze medal. He had defeated, among others, the European champion Wiktor Wychryst and the Russian Maxim Babanin before he was eliminated in the semifinals against Məhəmmədrəsul Məcidov .

Professional career

He made his professional debut on April 7, 2018.
