Ingrid Salamon
Ingrid Salamon (born November 2, 1958 ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Salamon was a member of the Burgenland Landtag from 2010 to February 2020 .
Life
After attending primary and secondary school, Salamon learned the profession of office clerk and was one of the initiators of the “day care mothers” project, where she was employed in this project between 1989 and 1993.
Salamon lives in Mattersburg. She is married and has two daughters.
politics
In the political field, she was initially active as a councilor from 1987 to 1995, in 1995 she was elected city councilor before she took over the office of 1st vice mayor on October 17, 1998. On June 30, 1999 she was finally sworn in as mayor of Mattersburg , where Salamon was most recently confirmed in her office with 65.9% in the municipal council and mayoral election in 2007 . Since January 2003 Salamon has also been the chairwoman of the Burgenland Garbage Association, and on June 24, 2010 she was sworn in as a member of the Burgenland Landtag. She was the SPÖ area spokeswoman for the environment, waste management and water management.
At the beginning of 2018, she became the SPÖ club chairwoman, succeeding Robert Hergovich . After the state election in 2020 , in which Salamon no longer ran, the XXII. Legislative period Robert Hergovich again elected SPÖ club chairman.
