Robert Hergovich

Robert Hergovich (born September 2, 1976 ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). He has been a member of the Burgenland Landtag since 2008 and a member of the SPÖ Club in the Burgenland Landtag since 2015. From 2009 to 2015 he was regional manager of the SPÖ Burgenland.

Career

Hergovich has been working for AK Burgenland in Eisenstadt since 1995. From 1995 to 2000 he was a consultant in the labor law department, from 2000 head of the department for young employees. The trained wholesale and office clerk is a graduate of the Social Academy in Mödling and, as an AK expert, has acquired specialist knowledge in training, qualifications and the labor market. From January 2008 to June 2009 Hergovich was assistant to the Chamber of Labor President Alfred Schreiner .

Hergovich was the youth chairman of the union of the private employees , as well as national board of the union youth . From October 1997 SPÖ local council in Trausdorf an der Wulka (at that time the youngest local council in Austria). Since October 2002 he has been the parish council and since March 2009 chairman of the SPÖ local party in Trausdorf.

He was a candidate in the National Council elections in 2002, as well as in the state elections in 2005. In the latter, he received 2379 preferential votes. Since October 1, 2008, Hergovich has been a member of the Burgenland State Parliament (as successor to Gabriele Arenberger ) and until 2010 youth spokesman for the SPÖ Burgenland, after which he was the area spokesman for labor market, sport, budget and finance. From June 2009 to July 2015 Hergovich worked as the state manager of the SPÖ Burgenland. Hergovich was re-elected as a member of the state parliament in the 2010 and 2015 state elections. In July 2015, he took over the role of SPÖ club man in the Burgenland state parliament from Christian Illedits , having previously been deputy club chairman since 2010.

At the beginning of 2018, Ingrid Salamon succeeded him as SPÖ club chairwoman. In January 2018 Astrid Eisenkopf was elected as the successor to Robert Hergovich as SPÖ district chairwoman in the Eisenstadt-Umgebung district. At the beginning of February 2020 at the beginning of the XXII. Legislative period re-elected as SPÖ club chairman.

Private

Robert Hergovich is married and has two sons.
