Julia Wagentristl (born July 15, 1993 ) is an Austrian politician for the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). She has been a member of the Burgenland State Parliament since February 17, 2020 .

Life

Julia Wagentristl attended the lower level at the Gymnasium of the Diocese of Eisenstadt and the upper level at the BG / BRG Kurzwiese Eisenstadt , where she completed the natural science branch and graduated in 2011 . She then began studying agricultural sciences at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna , which she completed in 2014 as a Bachelor of Science . She completed a subsequent master’s degree in crop science in 2017 as a graduate engineer with a thesis on the subject of physical and psychological workload of farmers in basic tillage and sowing on Austrian farms .

In 2017/18 she was a consultant in the EU coordination in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management , and from 2018 she was a trainee in the Federation of Industry in Vienna and Brussels. Since 2019 she has been working as a project manager at the animal feed manufacturer Austria Pet Food in Pöttelsdorf, and as a sideline she runs a farm in Kleinfrauenhaid . She has been a member of the Zemendorf Volunteer Fire Brigade since 2004 . In 2014 she became deputy regional chairwoman of the Burgenland Children's World Association , and since 2018 she has been the federal chairwoman of the Austrian Children's World Association .

politics

Wagentristl has been a member of the Zemendorf-Stöttera municipal council since 2012 . From 2013 to 2016 she was the regional representative of the Young People's Party (JVP) Burgenland, of which she became regional manager in 2015.

In the early state elections in Burgenland 2020 , she ran for Christian Sagartz , who moved to the EU Parliament, in second place in state electoral district 3 ( Mattersburg ). On February 17, 2020 it was in the constituent meeting of the XXII. Legislative period sworn in as the youngest member of the Burgenland Landtag .
