Christian Dax (born February 13, 1988 in Güssing ) is an Austrian politician and lawyer. From January 2017 to February 2020 he was regional manager of the SPÖ Burgenland. He has been a member of the Burgenland State Parliament since February 17, 2020 .

Life

After graduating from high school, Christian Dax studied law at the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz (Magister iuris 2011) and concert bass tuba at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (Bachelor of Arts 2012). After the court year, Dax completed a Master of Laws program at Indiana University Mason School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana (LL.M. 2013).

Dax passed the bar exam in both New York State (2013) and Austria (2015). Until 2015 he worked as a lawyer and trainee lawyer in Austrian law firms.

In 2015 Christian Dax moved to the office of the Burgenland provincial government and worked as a consultant for the then Burgenland governor Hans Niessl . From January 2017 to February 2020 Dax was the country manager of the SPÖ Burgenland. He pulled in the Burgenland state election in 2020 due to the large number of preferential votes in the district of Oberwart in the Burgenland Landtag one. On February 17, 2020, he was appointed at the constituent meeting of the XXII. Legislative period as a member of the Burgenland Landtag.

In the European elections in May 2019, he ran as Burgenland's top candidate in 7th place for the Social Democratic Party of Austria and received more than 13,700 preferential votes.

In the summer of 2019 ordered Hans Peter Doskozil with Roland Prince a second SPÖ country manager, who took over the party Shops in February 2020 alone.

Dax lives in southern Burgenland. Christian Dax is the grandson of the former politician and President of the Burgenland Parliament, Wolfgang Dax .
