Gerhard Hutter

Gerhard Hutter (born October 28, 1965 ) is an Austrian politician on the Burgenland List (LBL), from which he resigned at the end of February 2019. He has been the mayor of Bad Sauerbrunn since 2002 and a member of the Burgenland state parliament since 2015 .

Life

Gerhard Hutter completed an apprenticeship as a gas and water pipe fitter from 1980 to 1984, and in 1987 and 1988 he passed the master craftsman's examination for these two professions . He has been running his own company since 1988.

politics

In the municipal council elections in Burgenland in 2002, he ran the list for Bad Sauerbrunn (LIBS), the list of names became the second largest parliamentary group and moved into the municipal council with eight seats. He finished second in the mayoral election in October 2002, won the run-off election that resulted in it, and has been the mayor of Bad Sauerbrunn since then. He succeeded Sylvia Linc (SPÖ) in this function.

On July 9, 2015 he was in the XXI. Legislative period as a member of the Burgenland Landtag, where he is a member of the main committee. In the 2017 municipal council election , he was re-elected as mayor with 67.12 percent of the vote.

In the state elections in 2020 he is running as a non-party candidate behind top candidates Hans Peter Doskozil and Astrid Eisenkopf on the third list of the state list of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). In August 2019 he resigned from the position of regional chairman of the Independent Community Representatives Forum (UGVF).
