Rita Stenger

Rita Stenger (* 1976 ) is an Austrian politician from the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). She has been a member of the Burgenland State Parliament since February 17, 2020 .

Life

After graduating from the upper level secondary school in Eisenstadt , Rita Stenger began studying at the Pedagogical University in Eisenstadt , completing a Bachelor of Education (BEd). In Siegendorf she became the director of the New Middle School (NMS), and until 2020 she also led the elementary school on an interim basis for two years. She is also the chairwoman of the local group of Austrian Children's Friends and is a member of the local council .

In the early state elections in Burgenland 2020 , she ran in state electoral district 2 ( Eisenstadt-Umgebung , Eisenstadt and Rust district ) behind Regional Councilor Astrid Eisenkopf and Robert Hergovich in third place on the list. On February 17, 2020 it was in the constituent meeting of the XXII. Legislative period as a member of the Burgenland Landtag , where she became a member of the Social Committee and the Environment Committee. In the SPÖ state parliament club, she acts as the area spokesperson for ethnic groups and families.

In June 2020 she succeeded Astrid Eisenkopf as chairwoman of the SPÖ women in the Eisenstadt district.
