Claudia Schlager

Claudia Schlager (born June 17, 1973 ) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). She has been a member of the Burgenland State Parliament since February 17, 2020 .

Life

Claudia Schlager began studying at the Pedagogical Academy in Eisenstadt after graduating from the Bundesgymnasium and Bundesrealgymnasium Mattersburg . In Mattersburg she became the director of the Polytechnic School . In addition, as a city ​​councilor , she is responsible for sport and sports clubs, leisure and children's playgrounds, parks and green spaces. In June 2016 she was elected chairwoman of the SPÖ Women Mattersburg.

In the Burgenland Association of Cities she is a delegate of the regional group conference. In 2019 she became deputy treasurer in the Burgenland regional group of the Austrian Social Democratic Teachers' Association (SLÖ). At the end of 2019 / beginning of 2020 she replaced Christian Illedits as chairwoman of the nordburgenland plus association , who has been responsible for the implementation of EU projects in the districts of Neusiedl am See , Eisenstadt-Umgebung and Mattersburg since 2007 .

In the early state elections in Burgenland 2020 , she ran in state electoral district 3 (Mattersburg district) behind Provincial Councilor Christian Illedits in second place on the list. On February 17, 2020 it was in the constituent meeting of the XXII. Legislative period as a member of the Burgenland Landtag , where she became a member of the Petitions Committee and the Social Committee. In the SPÖ state parliament club, she acts as the area spokesperson for women and culture.
