Vidar Magnussen (born December 6, 1977 in Bergen ) is a Norwegian actor , comedian , screenwriter and director .

Life

Magnussen studied from 2000 to 2004 at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts in London . In 2006 he played his first Norwegian theater role in the Ibsen drama Hedda Gabler . He then played in Les Misérables in 2008 , in Jungelboka in 2011 and in Hamlet in 2014 . For his role in Shockheaded Peter he won an award at the Norwegian theater award Heddaprisen in 2014 . Magnussen worked as a presenter at the Komiprisen Comedy Prize in 2014 , where he finally won an award himself for his appearance in Shockheaded Peter . In 2017 he made his directorial debut for The Book of Mormon at Det Norske Teatret , for which he again received a Heddapris.

Since 2013 he has played the leading role Jonas Kvåle in the sitcom Side om side , which is broadcast by Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK). From 2013 to 2016 he was part of the ensemble of the comedy show Underholdningsavdelingen . There he played the role of Sherlock Holmes in several parodies of the British series Sherlock . In 2019, he starred in the comedy series Magnus , for which he also acted as a screenwriter. The series was named "Comedy Series of the Year" at the Nordic Series Days.

In February 2020 he finished second on the TV show Maestro , where celebrities compete against each other as conductors.
