Heddaprises
The Heddaprisen ( German : Heddapreis ) is a Norwegian theater award that has been awarded since 1998. The award ceremony is organized by the Norsk teater- og orkesterforening (NTO) theater and orchestra association.
history
The prize was first awarded in 1998, after the Hedda statuette (German: Hedda statue) was awarded in 1991 and 1992. The prize statue given to the winners shows the character Hedda from Henrik Ibsen's drama Hedda Gabler . Since the 2012/13 season, the expert jury, known as the Heddajury, has been determined by the Hedda Committee. Since then, the honorary award is no longer awarded by the jury, but by the committee.
Categories
Every year, prizes can be awarded in twelve different categories. The jury has to make a decision based on certain criteria. In addition, an honorary award can be awarded, whereby the winner can be determined by the committee according to open criteria.
