Dieter Posch (born August 10, 1960 ) is an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ). He has been the mayor of the market town of Neudörfl since 1997 and a member of the Burgenland state parliament since February 17, 2020 .

Life

Dieter Posch was born the son of the politician Josef Posch . In 1997 he succeeded Ernst Götz (SPÖ) as mayor of the market town of Neudörfl . In this function he is in committees and organizations such as the Burgenland Garbage Association, the Abwasserverband Wiener Neustadt-Süd, the Kurkomission Bad Sauerbrunn, the Leitha-Fischa-Wasserwerkverein, the Katzelsdorfer Competition, the Leitha-Wasserverband IV, the Tourismusverband Rosalia-Neufelder Seenplatte and represented the Association of Cities.

In 2015 he was a critic of the Niessl IV state government formed from the SPÖ and FPÖ . In the early state elections in Burgenland 2020 , he ran in state electoral district 3 ( Mattersburg district ) behind Provincial Councilor Christian Illedits and Claudia Schlager in third place on the list. On February 17, 2020, he was appointed at the constituent meeting of the XXII. Legislative period as a member of the Burgenland State Parliament, where he became a member of the State Audit Office Committee, the Finance, Budget and Budget Committee and the Economic Committee. In the SPÖ state parliament club, he acts as the area spokesman for budget / finances, waste and water management and integration.

After Christian Illedits' resignation , Posch was presented by the SPÖ Burgenland on August 12, 2020 as Illedit's successor as district chairman of the SPÖ Mattersburg. Posch took over the chairmanship of the SPÖ district organization on an interim basis, and is to run for this function at the district conference planned for September 11, 2020.
