Ivan Šmudla

Ivan Šmudla (born July 25, 1959 ) is a former Croatian soccer player and now soccer coach .

During his playing days, Šmudla played for NK Osijek, among others .

After completing his active career, Šmudla started his coaching career and worked as a trainer for SC Eisenstadt , SC Oslip, SC Steinbrunn and BNZ Burgenland. Since July 2007 he has been under contract with the Austrian Bundesliga club SV Mattersburg . After he was initially responsible for the second team in the Regionalliga Ost , he was appointed assistant coach to Franz Lederer in summer 2008 . After his contract with SV Mattersburg ended, he moved to the Burgenland Football Academy as a supervisor in July 2014 .

Ivan Šmudla is married and the father of Marko Šmudla (born December 6, 1988) and Dino Šmudla (born January 5, 1992), who also played for the second team of SV Mattersburg.
