Felipe Augusto Rodrigues Pires (born April 18, 1995 in São Paulo ) is a Brazilian soccer player . He has been under contract with HNK Rijeka as a loaner for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim since February 2020 .

Career

Felipe Pires received his football training at Red Bull Brasil as a youth and joined the U19 team at RB Leipzig . In order to get match practice, he was transferred to FC Liefering in Salzburg in the summer of 2014 . In the following autumn season he impressed with 10 goals in Austria's second highest league and moved to FC Red Bull Salzburg at the beginning of 2015 . He scored his first goal for his new club on February 22, 2015 when he scored 1-0 in the league game against SV Ried. He made his international debut in the Europa League on February 19, 2015 in the away game against Villarreal, and he was substituted on at home a week later. In the 2014/15 cup final against Austria Wien, he scored the decisive 2-0 in extra time. In the 2015/16 season he was a permanent member of the FC Red Bull Salzburg squad, but was also registered as a cooperation player for FC Liefering.

End of August 2015 Pires was designed by German Bundesliga side 1899 Hoffenheim TSG committed and by the end of the season 2015/16 in the 2. Bundesliga at the FSV Frankfurt borrowed. Pires scored his first goal for FSV on November 22nd, 2015 in a 1-1 draw against 1. FC Kaiserslautern .

In the summer of 2016 it was awarded to the Austrian Bundesliga club FK Austria Wien until the end of June 2018 . In his competitive debut for Austria, he scored the winning goal in a 1-0 first leg win against FK Kukësi in the second qualifying round for the Europa League . After the end of the 2017/18 season, Pires left the club when his contract expired.

In the 2018/19 season, Pires was in the TSG 1899 Hoffenheim squad for the first time . In the first half of the season he was not used in any competitive game under coach Julian Nagelsmann and was only in the matchday squad in two Bundesliga games.

On January 1, 2019, Pires returned to his homeland and joined the reigning champions Palmeiras São Paulo on loan until the end of the year . At the same time, he extended his contract with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim until June 30, 2021. After making 11 appearances (one goal) in the São Paulo state championship and 2 appearances in the Série A, he was promoted to the end of July 2019 until Awarded at the end of the year within the Série A to the promoted Fortaleza EC . There he came to 11 appearances in the Série A, in which he scored a goal. On February 11, 2020, Pires was awarded to the Croatian first division club HNK Rijeka until the end of the 2019/20 season .
