Peter Žulj (born June 9, 1993 in Wels ) is an Austrian - Croatian soccer player .

Career

societies

Žulj initially played from the beginning of 2010 to June 2011 at SK Rapid Wien in the storm of the B-team. From July 2011 to June 2012 he played for SV Grödig and made his professional debut there. In 2012/13 he returned to SK Rapid Vienna. From July 2013 to January 2014 he was part of the TSV Hartberg squad . In January 2014 he left Vienna and signed a contract with Wolfsberger AC , where he made his debut on February 8 in a 3-2 win over FC Wacker Innsbruck and scored the 1: 1 equalizer with a directly converted free kick.

On August 28, 2015, Peter Žulj moved from Lavanttal to Südstadt to FC Admira Wacker Mödling in exchange with Issiaka Ouédraogo .

For the 2016/17 season he moved to league competitor SV Ried , where he received a contract valid until June 2018.

After the relegation of SV Ried, he moved to Bundesliga club SK Sturm Graz for the 2017/18 season , with whom he received a contract valid until June 2020.

In January 2019 he moved to Belgium for RSC Anderlecht , where he received a contract that ran until June 2022. He played his first game for Anderlecht in the Pro League in the same month when he came on as a substitute for Zakaria Bakkali on matchday 23 of the 2018/19 season against KAS Eupen in the half-time break .

National team

Žulj ran for a total of three Austrian youth national teams (U-17 / U-19 / U-21) and completed a total of five international matches, for the U-21 he was used as part of the European Championship qualification.

He was appointed to the senior national team for the first time in March 2018 . He made his debut in the national team on March 27, 2018 when he came on for Florian Grillitsch in a friendly against Luxembourg in the 81st minute .

His brother Robert, who is around a year older , has been under contract with German second division club VfL Bochum since 2020 .
