Hendrik Van Crombrugge (born April 30, 1993 in Leuven ) is a Belgian football player . He is under contract with the Belgian first division club RSC Anderlecht and is part of the Belgian national team .
Career
society
In lions in the province of Flemish Brabant born Hendrik Van Crombrugge began playing football in 1999 at around 20 kilometers from FC Meensel-Kiezegem in the town Tielt-Winge before he VV Houtem and KVK Tienen in the town of Tienen in Football school of the first division club VV St. Truiden changed. In 2008 he joined the football school of league rivals Standard Liège, some 40 kilometers away . After three years he returned to St. Truiden at the end of August 2011 and made his debut on September 9, 2011 at the age of 18 in the home game against KRC Genk, which he and his team lost 3: 4. This game was his only assignment and at the end of January 2013 his contract was terminated.
Van Crombrugge joined KAS Eupen in 2013 . Since his competitive debut on September 25th, 2013 in the 7-0 defeat in the sixth round in KBVB-Beker against RSC Anderlecht , he has played a total of 179 competition games - after initial difficulties. Van Crombrugge rose with the club from the German-speaking part of Belgium in 2016 in the top Belgian league and managed to stay relegated every year.
On August 1, 2019, he moved to RSC Anderlecht . There he received a four-year contract. Van Crombrugge won a regular place there and played all 28 games of the season until the end of the season due to the Corona crisis . (On matchday 1 he was still in the service of KAS Eupen.) There were 12 games in which he did not concede a goal.
After Vincent Kompany ended his playing career in mid-August 2020, Van Combrugge became the new captain of RSC Anderlecht.
National team
Van Crombrugge played three games for the Belgian U15 team, one game for the Belgian U16 team, three appearances for the Belgian U17 national team and four games for the Belgian U18 team. On May 21, 2019 Van Crombrugge was nominated for the first time, after several times in the preselection, for the Belgian national team for the EM 2020 qualification against Scotland and Kazakhstan as fourth goalkeeper behind Thibaut Courtois , Simon Mignolet and Matz Sels .
