Nany Landry Dimata (born September 1, 1997 in Mbuji-Mayi ) is a Belgian football player of Congolese descent. The striker is under contract with RSC Anderlecht and played for the Belgian U-21 national team .

Career

societies

Landry Dimata began playing football in 2006 at FC Saint-Michel in the Belgian capital, Brussels . He then played for various Belgian teams before joining Standard Liège's youth team in 2014 . In the summer of 2016, Dimata moved to KV Ostend within the league for 600,000 euros . Dimata made his competitive debut for the first team in Division 1A on July 31, 2016 against KRC Genk .

For the 2017/18 season , Dimata moved to the Bundesliga for VfL Wolfsburg , with whom he signed a contract until June 30, 2022. In 21 league games he scored no goal.

For the 2018/19 season, Dimata moved to RSC Anderlecht on loan for a year . In November 2018, the sports director of VfL Wolfsburg, Jörg Schmadtke , confirmed that RSC Anderlecht had already drawn the purchase option. At this point, Dimata had scored ten goals in 14 league games.

Due to cartilage damage, he had been out since February 10, 2019 and was therefore unable to take part in the U-21 European Championship in 2019 . Only at the beginning of the new 2020/21 season Dimata was back on the pitch.

National team

Dimata played four times for the U-17 selection of the Belgian Football Association and scored one goal. For the U-18 national team, he was used four times and scored two goals. On September 6, 2016 he made his debut at home for the U-21s against the Czech Republic (2-1). For this he played a total of twelve games. In the meantime it can no longer be used in the U-21 team due to its age. There was no appointment to the senior national team until the end of 2019.
