Victor James Osimhen (born December 29, 1998 in Lagos ) is a Nigerian football player . The striker will be under contract with SSC Napoli in Italy from September 1, 2020 .
Career
societies
Osimhen began his career at Ultimate Strikers Academy. In January 2017, the German Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg signed him . Osimhen made his Bundesliga debut on May 13, 2017. In the 1-1 draw against Borussia Mönchengladbach , he came on for Paul-Georges Ntep .
On August 22, 2018, the attacker initially moved to the Belgian first division club Sporting Charleroi on loan until the end of the 2018/19 season . Osimhen established himself as a regular player in Charleroi and scored 12 goals in 25 league appearances (22 times from the start). In the subsequent play-offs for the Europa League , 7 goals followed in 9 appearances (all from the start). Shortly after the end of the season, Sporting Charleroi acquired the transfer rights to Osimhen by option.
For the 2019/20 season, Osimhen moved to the French first division club OSC Lille , with whom he signed a contract that runs until June 30, 2024. As a regular, he was supposed to replace Nicolas Pépé , who had just changed , missed only two of 40 competitive competitive games, scored 18 goals and prepared six more. The attacker finished fourth with Lille, which meant qualifying for the Europa League group stage .
After the season, the Nigerian left France and signed a contract with the Italian first division club SSC Napoli , but the transfer will not take place until September 1, 2020. The transfer fee is said to have been over 60 million euros.
National team
Osimhen made his debut for the Nigerian national team on June 1, 2017 . He came on as a substitute for Ahmed Musa at halftime .
