Sebastiano Luperto (born September 6, 1996 in Lecce ) is an Italian football player . The defender is currently under contract with SSC Napoli .

Career

Luperto comes from the youth of US Lecce , for whom he was active until 2013. In August of the same year he came to his first professional appearances when he was substituted on in the Coppa Italia 2013/14 in the first, second and third round. Shortly thereafter, SSC Napoli loaned him out for their Primavera team. In the summer of 2014, Luperto was then firmly committed and continued to play for the Primavera, but was partly part of the first team for the 2014/15 season . Luperto was in the SSC squad for the first time on December 7, 2014 in a 2-2 draw against FC Empoli . After four more unused squad nominations, he made his Serie A debut for the Azzurri on May 3, 2015 . He came on as a substitute for David López in the 84th minute of the 3-0 home win over AC Milan .

Luperto has been an integral part of the first team since the 2015/16 season , but did not make any further appearances for Naples. That is why he was on loan to FC Pro Vercelli in Serie B in 2016/17 , for which he was on the field in 32 games. In the summer of 2017 it was awarded again, this time to FC Empoli .
