Alex Meret (born March 22, 1997 in Udine ) is an Italian football goalkeeper . He is under contract with SSC Napoli .

Career

In the club

Meret began his professional career with the Italian first division club Udinese Calcio and was awarded Serie B to SPAL Ferrara in 2016 . At the end of the season he had completed 30 league games and rose with the team to Serie A ; the loan business was extended for the 2017/18 season. He has been playing for SSC Napoli since 2018 .

In the national team

Meret has been a member of various Italian junior national teams since 2013. In March 2017, he was appointed to the squad of the Italian national team by Gian Piero Ventura , but remained without action.
