Mário Rui Silva Duarte (born May 27, 1991 in Sines ) is a Portuguese football player who is under contract with SSC Napoli in the Italian Serie A.
Career
society
Mário Rui played in youth first at Sporting Lisbon , landed on the station Valencia but ultimately the city rivals Benfica . For the 2010/11 season he moved up to the professional squad, but was immediately loaned to the second division CD Fátima , with whom he was relegated at the end of the season. For the 2011/12 season he was signed by the Italian first division club FC Parma . Two loan deals led him to the second division AS Gubbio 1910 and Spezia Calcio . Before the 2013/14 season Rui moved to FC Empoli , with whom he rose to runner-up at the end of the season. He made his Serie A debut on August 31, 2014 . As a regular player, he played 70 first division games. For the 2016/17 season , Rui was loaned from AS Roma and finally signed on. In the 2017/18 season he played for a rental fee of 3.75 million euros for league rivals SSC Napoli , who at the end of the season paid a purchase option of a further 5.5 million euros by achieving contractually set sporting goals.
National team
Rui made 51 appearances for Portugal's junior national team. On 26 March 2018 he made his debut as part of a friendly match against the Netherlands in the senior team .
