Orestis-Spyrido Ioannis Karnezis ( Greek Ορέστης Καρνέζης , born July 11, 1985 in Athens , Greece ) is a Greek football player and acts in the position of goalkeeper . He has been under contract with the Italian first division club SSC Napoli since 2018 .

Career

Orestis Karnezis began his professional career at OFI Crete where he was under contract between 2003 and 2007. In July 2007 Karnezis, who was also active for the Greek national youth team, moved to the Greek top club Panathinaikos Athens . Karnezis made his debut in the top Greek league on May 14, 2008 in an encounter against AEK Athens . With the capital club he won the double of championship and cup victory in 2010. After six years he left Panathinaikos and switched to Udinese Calcio . The Italian club but gave Karnezis immediately on to the Spanish side FC Granada .

In the summer of 2016 Karnezis moved to Watford FC .

In the summer of 2018, karnezis moved to SSC Napoli , where he has only made six appearances as the second goalkeeper.
