Career

societies

Ntep started playing football in 2001 at Ris Orangis US in the French community of Ris-Orangis . He then played for various French teams before joining AJ Auxerre's youth team in 2009 . There he was pulled up for the 2010/11 season in the second team, which played in the fourth-rate Championnat de France amateur .

For the 2011/12 season, Ntep moved up to the first team at Auxerre. On April 21, 2012, he sat on the bench for the first time in the league game against OGC Nice . He played his first game in Ligue 2 on August 11, 2012 in a 1-0 home win against CS Sedan . On September 22, 2012, he scored his first goal in professional football in the 3: 4 defeat at EA Guingamp with the goal to 1: 1 in the 34th minute.

In the winter break of the 2013/14 season , Ntep moved to the first division club Stade Rennes . There he scored his first goal in Ligue 1 on February 23, 2014 with the 1-0 goal in a 3-0 win at FC Nantes and was also able to score a goal on the following two match days. In the cup he reached the final with the club in the 2013/14 season , but lost to EA Guingamp with 0-2.

During the winter break of the Bundesliga - the 2016/17 season , Ntep moved to VfL Wolfsburg . He signed a contract valid until June 30, 2021. In his Bundesliga debut on January 21, 2017 (17th matchday) in the home game against Hamburger SV , he gave the template for the 1-0 winner by Mario Gómez in the 83rd minute.

After Ntep had only made five appearances in 18 matchdays of the 2017/18 season without scoring his own, he returned to Ligue 1 on January 17, 2018 and joined AS Saint-Étienne on loan until the end of the season . After his return, the offensive player did not appear again in the Bundesliga and was transferred to the second team by the new head coach Oliver Glasner in the summer of 2019 until further notice. At the end of August 2019, Ntep was awarded to Kayserispor for a year . After five league games and one game in the cup , the offensive player decided at the end of 2019 that he no longer wanted to be active for Kayserispor due to "sporting dissatisfaction and irregularities in his salary payments" and subsequently kept himself fit in Cameroon. In mid-February 2020, the contract was terminated by VfL Wolfsburg, whereupon the loan contract with the Turkish first division club was terminated.

In mid-May 2020, Ntep received a one-year contract with the French second division club EA Guingamp .
