Issiaka Ouédraogo (born August 19, 1988 in Ouagadougou ) is a Burkinabe - Austrian football player .

Career

Issiaka Ouédraogo started his career at USFA , a club in his hometown of Ouagadougou . There he played in several youth teams until he made the leap to a professional player in August 2008 and moved to Austria to the Red Bull Juniors from Salzburg. The Juniors , the second team of FC Red Bull Salzburg , were still playing in the first division at the time . After a league reform for the 2010/11 season , the Juniors had to relegate to the Regionalliga West . Issiaka did not take part in this relegation and moved to the first-league promoted SV Grödig for the 2010/11 season , where he was the preferred player of coach Heimo Pfeifenberger .

On June 13, 2011 it was announced that the striker was moving to the First League champions Trenkwalder Admira . In a short time, Ouédraogo, who was particularly noticeable for his speed, has developed into a regular for the Mödlingers.

Due to his good performance in the Austrian Bundesliga, he was called up on January 11, 2012 in the Burkinabe national soccer team for the 2012 African Cup . He was the only player from an Austrian soccer team to take part in this Africa Cup. On November 27, 2012, he extended his contract with FC Admira Wacker Mödling early to 2016.

In May 2015, Ouedraogo received Austrian citizenship.

On August 28, 2015, the contract with Admira was terminated by mutual agreement and Ouedraogo moved, after four years in the Südstadt, in exchange with Peter Žulj to Wolfsberger AC and thus to his former coach Didi Kühbauer .

In the summer of 2016 he moved to the United Arab Emirates to the Hatta Club .

After only half a year in Asia, he returned to Wolfsberger AC in February 2017, where he received a contract valid until June 2019. For the 2018/19 season he moved to league rivals SKN St. Pölten . After the 2019/20 season, he left Lower Austria after 24 Bundesliga appearances.
