Stefan Rakowitz (born April 3, 1990 in Oberwart ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

At the age of seven, Rakowitz started playing football for the SC Pinkafeld club in Burgenland . At the age of 13 he went to the soccer academy in Burgenland. After his return to SC Pinkafeld on January 10, 2008, Rakowitz secured a regular place in the fighting team that played in the 2nd League South (fifth level) and played 14 games by the summer in which he scored six goals. On June 20, 2008 he was signed by TSV Hartberg for the Regionalliga Mitte . In the fifth round on August 29, 2008 in a 5-1 home win against SV Bad Aussee , he was substituted on after 55 minutes of play and scored a goal in the 70th minute of the game. He then played all games until the end of the 2008/09 season . On the last matchday on June 12, 2009 in the home game against SAK Klagenfurt , he scored three goals for the Hartberger's 6-0 win. With this victory, his team secured the championship title and promotion to the first division (second highest division) with a goal difference two goals higher . Also in the 2009/10 season Rakowitz had a regular place in the professional team. He made his first game as a professional footballer for TSV Hartberg on July 24th, 2009 in a 0-0 draw at FC Gratkorn . After he had been used in the meantime as a defender and in midfield, he scored his first professional goal on May 8, 2010 in the away game against FC Gratkorn with his goal in the 57th minute of the game for a 2-1 victory.

In summer 2012 Rakowitz moved to the Austrian Bundesliga for SC Wiener Neustadt , in summer 2014 to the Regionalliga Ost for SC Ritzing and in summer 2015 to league competitor SV Horn .

In August 2016, after his contract in Horn had not been extended, he returned to the second division club SC Wiener Neustadt.

For the 2017/18 season he moved to league competitor FC Wacker Innsbruck , with whom he received a contract valid until June 2018. With Innsbruck he rose to the end of the season in the Bundesliga. With Wacker he had to relegate from the Bundesliga in 2019. After relegation, he moved to Bundesliga club TSV Hartberg for the 2019/20 season, where he already played in second and regional league times. At Hartberg he received a contract that ran until June 2021.
