Thomas Rotter (born January 27, 1992 ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Rotter began his career at TSV Hartberg . After he had previously run through various youth teams at Styria, he played for Hartberg's second team in the fifth-class league from 2007 . After the promotion they even played in the national league in 2008/09 , from which they were relegated straight away.

In August 2011 he was in the professional squad of Hartberg for the first time. In September 2012 he made his debut in the second division when he came on as a substitute for Thomas Hopfer on the eleventh match day of the 2012/13 season against SC Austria Lustenau in the 84th minute .

At the end of the season, Rotter had another outing to book. In the following season he was used three times; In 2014/15 he got a regular place and came to 27 games in which he scored two goals. However, Hartberg rose from the second highest league.

After two seasons in the regional league , they rose back to professional football in 2017. Rotter played in 27 of 30 games in the promotion season and scored seven goals. With Hartberg he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2018 .
