Matthias Koch (born April 1, 1988 in Feldkirch ) is an Austrian football player on the position of midfielder . He has been under contract with FC Hard since 2016 .

Career

Koch began his career at SC Tisis in Vorarlberg . After performing well in their youth team, he came to FC Rot-Weiß Rankweil and later to the federal youth center in Vorarlberg. In 2007 he joined the first team at SCR Altach . Koch made his Bundesliga debut on July 29, 2008 against Sturm Graz , the game ended 1-0 and Koch came on for Zé Elias in the 64th minute . He scored his first Bundesliga goal in October 2008 in a 3-1 away win against LASK, where he scored the goal to make it 2-1 for Altach. In June 2011, the native of Vorarlberg, whose preferred position is the offensive midfield, switched to the reigning Austrian champions SK Sturm Graz , with whom he signed a two-year contract until summer 2013.

After the contract expired, Koch moved to league rivals SC Wiener Neustadt in the summer of 2013 .

For the 2015/16 season he was signed by SK Austria Klagenfurt , the newly promoted to the first division .

For the 2016/17 season he moved to regional division FC Hard .
