Thomas Bergmann (born September 20, 1989 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player on the position of right defender .
Career
Bergmann started his career at FC Stadlau in Vienna. In 2001 he moved to the youth department of the Bundesliga club FK Austria Wien , where he was active for a total of three years. After he said goodbye to the Violets, he returned to FC Stadlau.
At Stadlau Bergmann came in the 2007/08 season in the first team, where he took part in all games. The club finished second with the right defender in the Vienna League. Then he was committed by Rapid Vienna . There he was used by the amateurs in the Regionalliga Ost. He made his debut for the green and white reserve on August 1, 2008 against SKU Amstetten , which was won 4: 1. Bergmann played alongside the later national players Yasin Pehlivan , Christopher Drazan and Christopher Trimmel until the 80th minute. In total, he came to 26 missions this season and scored one goal against the amateurs of SV Mattersburg . He was also used in the ÖFB Cup and scored a goal in the surprising 5-1 win against Bundesliga club SV Mattersburg. The Rapid Amateurs finished sixth in the Regionalliga Ost. In the following season he was used twelve times and was able to score once. In the fall of 2010/11 he stayed with the amateurs Rapids and played nine more times for the green-whites.
In winter 2011 Bergmann was awarded to the newly promoted Bundesliga Wacker Innsbruck . He made his debut in the top Austrian division on February 26, 2011 against SV Mattersburg, when he came on for Julius Perstaller in the 85th minute . The game at Tivoli was won 2-0. With 14 appearances he was able to collect some match practice in the Bundesliga in the spring of 2011. The Tyroleans were sixth in the final table at the end of the season.
For the 2015/16 season he moved to SV Ried .
After relegation from the Bundesliga, he left Ried in the summer of 2017.
During the winter break of the 2017/18 season, he joined the fourth-class FC Zirl .
