Bright Osagie Edomwonyi (born July 24, 1994 in Benin City ) is a Nigerian football player on the position of a striker .
Career
Bright Osagie Edomwonyi was born in Benin City and attended several football academies there. In 2009 he came to the Westerlo Football Academy in Lagos, the academy of the Belgian club KVC Westerlo . After he repeatedly attracted attention with good performances, he moved to Westerlo in January 2011 together with his teammates Jamiu Alimi and Salau Ibrahim. There he was only used for the second team. After KRC Genk expressed interest in him in spring 2012 , but the transfer ultimately failed, he moved to Austria for FC Red Bull Salzburg in the summer . There he made his professional debut on October 28, 2012 against SK Rapid Wien . For the 2013/14 season he was awarded to the second team, FC Liefering. In the winter transfer period 2013/14 he was awarded to FC Wacker Innsbruck . After a poorly performing spring, he switched to TSV Hartberg on loan in the second-class Austrian First League , where he scored nine goals and three assists in 15 league games. Furthermore, he played two games in the ÖFB-Cup 2014/15 , where he was eliminated with the team in the round of 16 with 0: 6 against FK Austria Wien , but in the 2-0 victory in the second round match against SV Lafnitz in the 63. Minute scored the second goal of his team.
In January 2015 he moved to Bundesliga club SK Sturm Graz .
In January 2017 he moved to Turkey to Çaykur Rizespor , where he received a contract valid until June 2021. In January 2018 he returned to Sturm Graz on loan.
For the 2018/19 season he moved to FK Austria Wien , where he received a contract that ran until June 2022.
