Dominik Fitz (born June 16, 1999 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

society

Fitz began his career at SV Langenzersdorf . In 2006 he joined the youth team at FK Austria Wien , where he later played in the academy. In March 2016 he made his debut for the amateurs of Austria in the Regionalliga when he came on as a substitute for Marko Kvasina on matchday 17 of the 2015/16 season against SV Oberwart in the 71st minute . He scored his first goal in April 2016 against SC Neusiedl am See . In May 2016, he scored against SC-ESV Parndorf 1919 for the first time two goals in a game in the Regionalliga.

After more than 40 games for the amateurs of Austria, he was in the professional squad for the first time in March 2018 against Wolfsberger AC . He made his debut for the professionals in the Bundesliga in the same month when he came on as a substitute for Christoph Monschein on matchday 28 of the 2017/18 season against SCR Altach in the 73rd minute . On matchday 36, Fitz scored his first Bundesliga goal in a 4-0 win against FC Red Bull Salzburg .

National team

Fitz played for an Austrian national youth team for the first time in February 2015. In March 2016 he made his debut against Iceland for the U-17 selection . With this he also took part in the European Championship in the same year , in which they failed in the quarter-finals to Portugal . Fitz was used in all four Austrian games during the tournament.

In September 2016 he played against Belgium for the U-18 team for the first time . In August 2017 he made his first appearance for the U-19 team against Norway . In March 2019 he played against Norway for the first time for the U-20 team .

He made his debut for the U-21 team in October 2019 against Turkey .
