David Sencar (born January 29, 1984 in Leoben ) is an Austrian football player in the position of midfielder . Since 2016 he has been playing in the Austrian second division for Kapfenberger SV .
Career
Sencar began his career in the youth department of DSV Leoben . In 2003 he came to the Grazer AK and their first team. Sencar made his debut in the Bundesliga in the championship year of the GAK in 2004. On April 14, 2004, he came on in the 79th minute against FC Kärnten for Roland Kollmann . In 2005 Sencar moved to Kapfenberger SV ; first on loan, then as fixed purchase. In the 2007/2008 season he made it to the top division of Austria with the Falken . Sencar was an important part of the team on the rise. He scored his first Bundesliga goal on July 27, 2008 against FC Red Bull Salzburg . He scored the 1-0 opening goal; the game ended in a 1-1 draw. At the end of the 2011/12 season he had to relegate to the second division with Kapfenberg .
After more than 300 competitive games in KSV dress, he moved to league competitor TSV Hartberg in the summer of 2014 . After he was relegated to the regional league with Hartberg, he joined the regional league team First Vienna FC .
For the 2016/17 season he returned to the second division Kapfenberger SV. After 111 more second division games for Styria, he ended his professional career during the 2019/20 season in May 2020 and joined the KSV coaching team. From the 2020/21 season he will finally play for the fifth-rate second team of Kapfenberg.
