final

In the 13th Austrian Cup final, Admira from Vienna, who became champions in the same season, and the WAC met. Due to the most recent performances in the international Easter tournament, the Prater people had been favored by some journalists, and Schall had long been in doubt about Admira. But at the WAC, Rudi Hiden, of all things, failed to get the support of the team, while his counterpart Rudi Zöhrer made several brilliant parades. Already in the 8th minute, Schall hit his head after a Sigl flank. In return, Zöhrer excelled in two strong shots from Cisar and Hiltl. After Sigl was able to insert after a Jany mistake and also hit Vogl via the inside bar, Admira was able to increase significantly to 3-0 shortly before the break. After the restart, Sigl made the final decision after Vogl's preparatory work. The WAC came up again, but could only defeat Zöhrer with a hand penalty. In the final minutes, the Jedleseer did not leave it at 4: 1, but instead provided two more hits. Captain Ignaz Sigl, who shone in the game with two goals and two assists, then received the trophy from Josef Gerö.
