Michael Steinlechner (born April 24, 1987 in Schwaz ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Steinlechner began his career in his hometown at SC Schwaz . In 2006 he moved to the regional division WSG Wattens . In his debut season, Wattens was third in the Regionalliga West . In the following years they always played for promotion, but failed in the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons in the relegation. In the summer of 2013 it was awarded to the Bundesliga club FC Wacker Innsbruck . He made his Bundesliga debut for Wacker in August 2013 when he was substituted on on the 7th match day of the 2013/14 season in the final phase of the game against FK Austria Wien . After he was relegated to the second division with Wacker, he returned to Wattens. With Wattens he was finally able to become champion in the Regionalliga West in 2015/16 and thus rise to professional football.

For the 2018/19 season he moved to the fifth-rate SV Fügen .

Personal

His father Hermann (* 1957) was also a soccer player.
