The SV lawn player Donaufeld Wien is a football club from the Austrian capital Vienna .
history
The club was founded in 1912 under the name SC Austria Donauarbeiter with the club colors red-black-green and played its home games at Ringelseeplatz until 1965. In 1965, the SC Austria Donauarbeiter moved to the new sports facility at Fultonstrasse-Nordmanngasse and changed its name to the Sportvereinigung Rasenspieler Donaufeld Wien. The club is generally called under the name SR Donaufeld Wien .
The SR Donaufeld is one of the oldest clubs in Vienna. From 1945 to 1979 the Donaufelder played with one exception in 1957, always in the Vienna league and from 1979 to 1981 in the Regionalliga Ost. After the dissolution of the Regionalliga in 1981, the club made a guest appearance in the Vienna League and played in the same again with the reintroduction of the Regionalliga from 1987 to 1990.
In the game year 1989/90 Donaufeld celebrated his greatest success with the championship title and the associated promotion to the 2nd division of the Bundesliga . Despite minor reinforcements, the Donaufelder were able to assert themselves in the second division and also qualified for the following season. In December 1991 the SR Donaufeld played for the first time in the Vienna Stadthallenturnier and played their way into the hearts of the audience with a 6: 2 against SK Rapid Wien , a 4: 1 against the Wiener Sport-Club and a 3: 3 against FK Austria Wien . At the end of the 1991/92 season, however, the Donaufelder had to go back to the Regionalliga Ost . In 1994/95 he was relegated to the Viennese league , in which he was promoted to the regional league again in the 1995/96 season by winning the championship title. The guest appearance in the third level lasted only a short time and was with the recent relegation in 1999 to the Vienna league. In the 2013/2014 season Donaufeld was able to secure the title in the city league for the fifth time. In the subsequent 2014/2015 season, however, there was again relegation to the Vienna League, where the club has been playing since then.
