Philipp Huspek (born February 5, 1991 in Grieskirchen ) is an Austrian football player . He is currently under contract with the Austrian Bundesliga club SK Sturm Graz .

Career

Huspek began his active career as a football player at SV Grieskirchen in Upper Austria , to which he remained loyal until 2004. Via SV Wallern , where he played from 2004 to 2005, he came to the youth department of SV Ried . After Huspek achieved relatively good performances in the TOTO youth league of the U-19s in the AKA Upper Austria West, he joined the first team in Rieder, where he first made his debut in the ÖFB Cup.

Huspek made his Bundesliga debut on March 7, 2009 against SK Austria Kärnten when he came on for the Spaniard Nacho in the 78th minute . The game ended in a 2-0 win for Rieder. At the end of the season he won the Austrian Cup with SV Ried. In the summer of 2011 he switched to the first division club FC Blau-Weiß Linz , with whom he signed a fixed contract after only one year. In the summer of 2013 Huspek moved to the newly promoted SV Grödig .

In the summer of 2015, the midfielder moved to SK Rapid Wien within the Austrian Bundesliga . After he could not assert himself in Vienna, he was awarded for half a year to the second division club LASK Linz . In June 2016, the contract with SK Rapid Wien was terminated by mutual agreement. On June 9, 2016, his move to the Austrian Bundesliga club SK Sturm Graz was announced.

His brother Felix is also a soccer player. His uncle Roland already played in the Bundesliga .
