Lukas Jäger (born February 12, 1994 in Alberschwende ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

society

Jäger began his career at FC Alberschwende before moving to AKA Vorarlberg. In 2011 he joined the SCR Altach . He made his professional debut in the first round of the 2012/13 ÖFB Cup against Floridsdorfer AC . In total, he ran for the club and his second team over 180 times and was with him in the 2013/14 season champion of the second-rate first division .

For the 2017/18 season he moved to Germany for the second division club 1. FC Nürnberg , where he received a three-year contract. Before making his professional debut, the defender was part of the regional league team. With the Franks he became runner-up in the 2nd Bundesliga in 2018 and thus rose to the Bundesliga , but had to accept relegation with the club after only one season. After 14 appearances in the second division for Nuremberg, he returned to Austria in January 2020 and switched to Bundesliga club SK Sturm Graz , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2022.

From the U16 onwards, Jäger played 48 games for all junior national teams of the ÖFB .
