Marcel Ziegl (born December 20, 1992 in Seewalchen am Attersee ) is an Austrian football player on the position of a defender . He has been playing for SV Ried since 2008 .

Career

Ziegl played in the AKA Upper Austria West . On November 29, 2008, the then just 15-year-old made his debut appearance in the Austrian Bundesliga when he won the 1-0 win in the " Upper Austria Derby " between SV Ried and LASK Linz in the 89th minute for Nacho Rodríguez was substituted on. At the end of the 2010/11 season he won the Austrian Cup with SV Ried.

With Ried, he was relegated from the Bundesliga in 2017. With Ried he rose again to the Bundesliga in 2020 .

National team
