Sargon Duran (born January 31, 1987 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian football player and now coach .
Career
As a player
Duran began his career at 1. Simmeringer SC . In 2003 he moved to First Vienna FC . In 2005 he played in the regional league for the first time. In 2007 he moved to SK Rapid Vienna , where he only played in the regional league. In 2008 he moved to SV Horn . In 2009 he moved to Germany to Tennis Borussia Berlin . In January 2010 he returned to Horn in Austria . In September 2010 he moved back to First Vienna FC, which had meanwhile been promoted to a professional club. He made his professional debut on matchday 12, 2010/11, against SV Grödig . In 2011 he moved to the amateur club 1. SC Sollenau . His contract expired in the summer of 2012. After he hadn't found a club, he returned to Sollenau in January 2013. In the summer of 2013 he moved to Floridsdorfer AC , with whom he was able to celebrate promotion to professional football in 2014. In 2015 he moved to league competitor SC Wiener Neustadt .
After the 2017/18 season he left SC Wiener Neustadt and switched to the fourth-class Mauerwerk Sport Admira . He ended his active career during the winter break of the 2018/19 season.
As a trainer
For the 2018/19 season Duran became Gerhard Fellner's assistant coach at SC Wiener Neustadt , where he had been active as a player until then. After Wiener Neustadt separated from Fellner in May 2019, Duran became head coach on an interim basis.
After the forced relegation of Wiener Neustadt, he became Christian Ilzer's assistant coach at Bundesliga club FK Austria Wien for the 2019/20 season .
