José Yordy Reyna Serna (born September 17, 1993 in Chiclayo ) is a Peruvian football player . He is used in the attack and in midfield .

Life

Reyna was born in the northern Peruvian city of Chiclayo. He lived there with his mother and two older brothers. His father died when he was eight years old. Through school and with the help of some teachers, he came to the professional club Alianza Lima at the age of 14 .

Career

In 2011, Reyna made the leap to the club's professional team, for which he played his first two games in the 2010/11 season. The following season he scored his first goal against the Sport Boys on May 18, 2012 . He played a total of 29 games and scored six goals in the 2011/12 season. It was also voted the best new discovery of the season in 2012. In the next season he scored six goals in 18 games by the summer break and prepared four more.

In June 2013 Reyna moved to FC Red Bull Salzburg in Austria . There he signed a contract until 2017. He spent his first season mainly as a substitute player, with a total of four season games for his team. He also acted as a cooperation player for FC Liefering .

For the 2014/15 season Reyna was awarded to the Austrian Bundesliga competitor SV Grödig . There he was able to integrate well into the team and became a regular player. By the winter break, he scored eleven goals in 19 games and prepared six more goals.

Due to his performance at SV Grödig, he was awarded to the German second division club RB Leipzig until June 2015. In Leipzig, Reyna was supposed to support the team in their promotion to the Bundesliga . This goal was missed, however, and so he returned to FC Red Bull Salzburg after this season.

In January 2017 Reyna moved to Canada to the Vancouver Whitecaps , where he received a contract valid until December 2018.

National team

In 2013 , Reyna played with the Peruvian U-20 national team at the U-20 South American Championship in Argentina and scored five goals.

On March 22, 2013 he made his debut for the A selection against Chile . Four days later he scored his first goal against Trinidad and Tobago .

In 2015 he reached 3rd place with his national team at the Copa America . Among other things, teams like Uruguay or Paraguay were pushed out of the competition.
