Jacobo María Ynclán Pajares , called Jacobo or Jacobo María , (born February 4, 1984 in Madrid ) is a Spanish football player .

Career

Jacobo began his career in Real Madrid's youth where he was active for two years. From 1995 to 1999 he played in the youth team of EF Madrid Oeste before moving to Atlético Madrid .

Although he had remained without use due to a meniscus injury, he rose after his convalescence in 2003 to the B-team Atlético Aviación , in which he made his debut in late 2003. In the first half of the 2004/05 season he established himself as a regular player. After five goals in 16 league games, he was awarded to the Segunda División at Polideportivo Ejido in the spring of 2005 , where he was able to convince and achieved 13th place with the team.

The following season he was brought into the A squad of Atlético by coach José "Pepe" Murcia , under whom he had previously made his breakthrough in the B team. He completed the entire season preparation with the team before he was awarded again in August 2005 to the Segunda División at UE Lleida .

With the Catalans , he completed his first full season as a professional and impressed as a template provider for Mate Bilić . Although he ended the season in third place on the top scorer list with 17 goals, the team had an otherwise harmless offensive, which resulted in the relegation battle early on. In the end, Lleida finished 19th in the table behind CD Tenerife, the first of four relegation places and was relegated to the third division for the first time since 2004.

Jacobo moved back to Atlético Madrid, where he was initially sent back to the B team by new coach Javier Aguirre at the beginning of the new season. With seven goals in twelve games in the Segunda División B , he played his way back to the second half of the A-squad, in which, however, he remained without any significant playing times. After he had not prevailed again in the Primera División , he found himself at the crossroads of his career. With no prospect of playing time at Atlético, he no longer wanted to return to the B team and then switched to the then Belgian first division club Excelsior Mouscron , where he saw better prospects.

Right at the beginning of the season, however, he suffered a meniscus injury that put him out of action for the entire season. Without having played a league game for Excelsior, he was then sent back to Madrid early on, where his contract expired at the end of the season. Although he had remained without match practice for much of the season, Atlético offered him a contract extension as a leading player for the B-team. Jacobo did not extend his contract, however.

In the summer of 2008 he accepted an offer from the then second division club Deportivo Alavés . With the Basques , however, he had to struggle with the long-term effects of his injury. Jacobo presented himself out of shape, which meant he only had 21 minutes of playing time in the first ten championship rounds. After stabilizing his performance at the end of the first half of the season, he injured his knee again and was missing the entire second half of the season. Meanwhile, Alavés rose to the third division for the first time in 16 years, whereupon his contract was terminated.

Thereupon he found no club for a long time due to his uncertain health condition before CD Guadalajara from the Segunda División B II signed him. In Guadalajara he remained injury-free for the first time for a long time and advanced to a surprise of the season with the club. Acted as a relegation candidate, the club played for the entire season for promotion, which was narrowly missed with third place in the table and elimination in the play-off against FC Ontinyent .

For the 2010/11 season Jacobo then moved back to Madrid for the RSD Alcalá , where he had his strongest season to date. Although he failed with the team on promotion to the second division, he presented himself personally as a template provider and executor, scored twelve goals and was voted Player of the Year in the Segunda División B at the end of the season . He then turned down an offer to extend his contract and instead moved to Austria to join the WAC / St. Second division team trained by former Spanish legionnaire Nenad Bjelica . Andrä .

With the WAC he rose to the Bundesliga in 2012 .

After six years with the Carinthians, his contract was terminated in July 2017. In January 2018, he returned to Spain, where he switched to fourth-class CA Pinto .
